I was reminded of this opening sequence from Monty Python’s Life of Brian. With its James Bond / Shirley Bassey / Gold Finger style theme, grand trumpets and soaring strings, I simply had to transcribe and play it!

Officially known as “Brian Song”, this needed very sassy, sexy vocals to truly do it justice. And I knew just the lady for that! I couldn’t be prouder of the way this recording turned out, and it was a lot of fun.

Included are a score and charts for 3 x trumpets, flugelhorn, trombone, 3 x violins, and chords.

Special thanks to my very talented friend Ynping Mak, for creating the 3rd violin part to help build a larger “wall of sound” from her string section.
