Tonight, New Year’s Eve, my amazing and talented friend Amanda Tse will play the violin as guest Concertmaster with The Philharmonic Orchestra, Singapore. The New Year’s Eve Countdown Concert is at Singapore’s School of Arts, and the feature piece of the evening is Beethoven’s Symphony No. 5 in C minor. A very well-deserved honor and I’m so happy for her!

Meanwhile, by myself and in the privacy of my home, I recorded trumpet and flugelhorn parts for my transcription of A Fifth of Beethoven, from the Saturday Night Fever soundtrack. Also in C minor, I might add.

Virtually the same achievements, don’t you think? 😉
