Here’s a nice little break for a brass quintet, featured in Dan Fogelberg’s composition Leader of the Band. When transcribing this, my ears tell me the instrumentation is a cornet (not trumpet), two French horns, a trombone, and a tuba. But it’s possible that a flugelhorn was involved too.
And of course, I could be wrong! 😁
