This is the Hawaii Five-0 theme as recorded by Melbourne, Australia, ska band “No Nonsense” in 1984. It differs considerably to the original TV theme arrangement and includes a spoken-word break. Although I’m usually a traditionalist I really love the groove of this version, featuring surf guitars and keys, and I knew we could make a really good go of this on Bandhub.
And this collab celebrates one year since I was last in Hawaii, my favorite place on the planet. 🌴
This was a lot of fun!

Hi Guys, love your Hawaii 5 – O song from 1994. I was 13 years old when I saw you perform live at Moomba in Melbourne. Sliding doors, my future husband was also at it age 17 & we talk about how great the music was/is. I bought your album but got ripped off selling it with the rest of my collection in Glenferrie Rd Malvern at age of 20 (big regrets). So, I tried buying your album in ITunes but not available. How can I buy your album. Many friends are interested. Would love to attend any concerts too:pub venues??

Hi Samantha. Thanks for your comment.
This isn’t the band’s website, and I’m not from the band. What you’ve found is my transcription of Hawaii 5-0 as performed by No Nonsense.
That said, I’ve seen the band’s EP “Around To It” on eBay. I think that might be the only place you’ll find a copy.
Like you, I really liked No Nonsense back in the day. The EP is great! And that’s why I decided to transcribe and record a song from it.
Good luck!
