Posting this brief little snippet because it’s awesome!
This iconic trumpet line was played by Don Rafferty and recorded for The Daly Wilson Big Band’s 1973 LP On Tour. The solo became a highlight for trumpet players in the audience whenever the band played. It can be heard after the 2nd verse in the change; @ 2:13 on my recording.
