As a trumpet player and music educator, I offer private trumpet lessons to students in school settings and from my home studio near Camden NSW, Australia.

My private lessons are designed to give students the individual attention that is often difficult to achieve in group settings. I teach in a clear step-by-step sequence, helping students build skills in the right order and avoid gaps in understanding.

I place a strong focus on the fundamentals of good playing, including posture, breathing and airflow, embouchure, tone, articulation, and comfortable technique. Alongside these technical skills, I also help students develop their musicianship. Together, these help students become more confident players and better prepared for success in ensembles and solo performance.

My lessons are supported by a bespoke home practice routine through Google Classroom, where students revisit key concepts through videos and play-along exercises featuring my spoken instructions and trumpet demonstrations. They see and hear me in the Google Classroom, just as they do in their lessons. This helps them stay engaged, practise effectively at home, and continue progressing from week to week.
